Beeny Cliff near Boscastle. The Opal and Sapphire is a line from the poem 'Beeny Cliff' by English poet Thomas Hardy which he wrote after the death of his first wife Emma. The original painting hangs in the old rectory near Juliot church (at the top of the Valency valley) where Emma lived.
